$50 for “Best Decorated Boat”
(If you enter the non-competitive division, you are welcome to decorate your boat
however you see fit to qualify for our "best Decorated Boat" prize!)
*Cash prizes are awarded in Marblehead Dollars, to be used
at any participating Marblehead establishment.
Race Categories
Rowed Boats: Competitive and Non-Competitive. Backward facing division. Hearty, experienced sea-farers. Weekend warriors. Great physical condition. Competitive and a lot of on-water experience in your craft. For those that want to compete for the honor of winning your division. The Non-Competitive Division is for the rest of us, that just want to have fun, complete the race, have a great day on the island. You should be comfortable on the water, aware of safety regulations, able to reasonably negotiate your craft in a variety of conditions. The entry fee, which includes cookout voucher, all island events and t-shirt, is $35 to age 16, $50 age 17 and above. (See downloadable form for complete info.)
Paddled Boats. Competitive and Non-Competitive. Front
facing craft. Same description and fees as above.
Other:
Swimmers, windsurfers, any category that does not fit in the above divisions.
Transportation for your boat back to Riverhead Beach is available. A significant portion of the reg fees are tax-deductible.
